DRIFTx Abu Dhabi 2024 Flight Demonstration

Project Overview
As part of the DRIFTx Smart & Autonomous Mobility showcase held in Abu Dhabi, this project featured the first international field demonstration of Korea’s manned eVTOL platform outside national airspace. The event brought together advanced mobility innovators from across the globe under direct coordination with the UAE government.
The demonstration included full-scale deployment, cross-border system transport, setup under desert climate conditions, and successful hover and taxi testing for VIP and public observation.
My Contributions
- Led aircraft disassembly, overseas transport, and reassembly on-site
- Coordinated environmental readiness under heat, dust, and humidity conditions
- Executed ground taxi tests and static hover demo with international observers
Outcomes
- First overseas field demonstration of Korea’s manned eVTOL system
- Demonstrated technical readiness for real deployment in foreign environments
- Established visibility with GCC and MENA mobility stakeholders
