Project Overview
This project marked the first time a South Korean UAM platform was flown at a global showcase event—AirTaxi World Congress 2024 held in Oxford, UK. It was a pivotal opportunity to demonstrate VSPACE’s eVTOL technology in front of aviation leaders from airlines such as Emirates, Etihad, United Airlines, Flynas, Air India, and Turkish Airlines.
Through a successful indoor flight demonstration, our team showcased real-time stability, propulsion response, and system integration capabilities. The flight served as international validation of both platform maturity and operational safety.
My Contributions
- Managed overseas technical logistics and pre-demonstration system inspection
- Led site setup, safety validation, and remote diagnostics integration
- Oversaw flight execution under international scrutiny with full payload configuration
Outcomes
- First international showcase of a manned eVTOL from South Korea
- Recognition from global UAM stakeholders for VSPACE’s technical readiness
- Established foundation for global partnerships and overseas demonstration protocols
