🇰🇷 2022 Government-Led UAM Demonstration and Flight Validation Program

Project Overview

This project marked the first official public UAM flight demonstration led by the Korean government. As the earliest nationally endorsed test for eVTOL platforms in Korea, the demonstration served as a crucial starting point for local certification discussions and safety protocol development.

The aircraft was developed and flown under real environmental conditions with participation from the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology. The event was broadcast nationally and observed by policymakers and industry representatives.

My Contributions

Led development and test preparation for a full-scale manned eVTOL platform
Built high-power propulsion system and validated thermal/safety performance
Managed onsite integration and conducted public demonstration flights

Outcomes

First government-recognized UAM test flight in Korea
Provided validation baseline for domestic airworthiness certification
Achieved stable hover performance and redundancy validation in front of press and officials
